Booking and Payment

Payment is due on the day of arrival. We accept cash, EFTPOS or credit card payments. If you will be arriving after hours, please contact Guest Services to discuss payment arrangements. 3.3% surcharge on AMEX. Credit card details are collected to guarantee the booking (though not charged until the day of arrival).

Please note that our rooms have a maximum number of guests based on the room type. Depending on your room type capacity, additional guests are welcome.

If an extra bed is required, fold out beds are available to hire for $30 per night.

Facilities and Hiring

Paynesville is a fantastic location for business events and corporate team building. While we do not have meeting facilities we do have some great recommendations:

Yes. There are 12 moorings at Mariners Cove where you can cast a line or tie your boat up. Contact Guest Services to pre-book your jetty mooring ($11 per night).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The closest launching ramp is King Street Boat or Progress Jetty.

We ask that you take care when manoeuvring your vessel around the jetties as there may be swimmers in the water.

The canals are prone to tidal movement so please use caution when tying your boat to the jetty.

Please note that any jetty damage is payable by the guest.

Maximum speed in the canals and McMillan Straits is 5 knots.

There is an electric BBQ located on the foreshore of the canal. Utensils are located on the BBQ. We would appreciate if you could scrape the BBQ after use.

Travel cots, including a sheet set and blankets, ($15 per day) and highchairs ($10 per day) are available on request from Guest Services. Pre-booking is highly recommended.

Yes, all rooms offer smart TVs. Streaming apps like Netflix, Stan, Disney and Kayo are accessible. Please note you will need to use your own account so don’t forget your login details; remember to logout when you depart.

Yes, kayaks, hobies and stand-up paddle boards (including life jackets, which are required to be worn by law), are available to hire from Paynesville Paddle Pedal Play (0472 907 707).

Items can be delivered to and collected from the Resort.

Our motel units do not have an onsite laundry service. However, a laundromat is located on the Esplanade in Paynesville.

Our 1 and 2 bedroom apartments are fully equipped with a washing machine, clothes airer and dryer.

A charger is located in the Raymond Street car park, just 20metres from the Resort.

Mariners Cove is located in a peaceful location. As a courtesy to other guests please ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum and that you respect our strict ‘no noise’ policy from 10pm.

If persistent noise complaints are received by Management, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises without refund of monies paid.

We love animals however we have a strict no pet policy except for assistance dogs. If you are bringing an assistance dog, please advise Guest Services prior to your arrival.

Each room or apartment has an allocated car space; it is important that your vehicle is parked in the allocated space at all times.

Car parks for rooms 1-11 & 18-22 are located in front of each room.

Car parks for rooms 12-16 are located opposite Reception.

Additional parking spots are located behind Apartment 17’s car park and also between Rooms 4, 5, 7 and 8.

We have teamed up with the PaintsVille Cafe to offer yummy breakfasts delivered to your room (see Guest Information Book for current continental and cooked breakfast menus).

Room service is available between 7am – 9am daily.

Orders can be made during Guest Services hours (before 5pm).

Arrival

Please contact Guest Services to advise that you will be arriving outside reception hours, and they will provide instructions on how to access your accommodation.

The hotel provides luggage storage for hotel guests pre or post-stay at no extra charge.

During Your Stay

Yes, it is possible to fish from the Mariners Cove jetty. For information about other fishing spots in the area, including a current fishing report, please visit Guest Services.

Don't forget to purchase your fishing licence - learn more.

For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside your room or on the patio of the motel units. Smoking is permitted on the grassed area of the canal; ashtrays are available in this space.

Guests who have smoked inside their apartment will be charged a fine.

Our standard servicing schedule is:

Motel, accessible and family rooms are serviced every second day.

1- and 2-bedroom apartments are serviced weekly.

Rooms are not serviced on Public Holidays.

Contact Guest Services if you would like to request daily room servicing. Towels, additional amenities and tea/coffee is available from Reception during opening hours.

A fish cleaning area is located outside Pier 70 on the Esplanade. Please do not scale, clean or gut fish in your apartment or on the verandas or balconies.

A cleaning charge will be incurred if fish scales are found inside the apartment.

Departure Information

Please leave your key at Guest Services or place it in the Key Return Box (located to the left of the Guest Services door).

Yes, lost property is kept for 3 months and is returned upon request (at the guest’s cost). Perishable items are not kept for any period of time.

Please check your apartment thoroughly prior to departure, as Mariners Cove cannot accept liability for any personal belongings that are left behind or lost.

Cancellations and Refunds

Our cancellation policy is:

Flexible reservations may be cancelled or amended up to 2pm on the third day (72 hours) prior to the day of arrival date without any charges.

Reservations cancelled or amended after 72 hours prior to arrival will incur a fee of one nights' accommodation.

Bookings made via third parties must be cancelled directly with the relevant booking agent.

Bookings made across peak periods such as Christmas, Easter and long weekends have a 14-day cancellation policy.
